Drummer Ron Hanson, Dwight Nash on bass and guitarist Wendell Nash formed the original three-piece band in 1985. Vocalist Lorrie Carrico joined the trio a year later and steel guitarist Willie Dahlberg rounded out the band in 1988. They all hail from the Benson/Alexandria area.  With a mix of ‘country rock’, blues, R & B and a little swing music; they played the popular circuit until disbanding in 1982.  Each going their separate  ways, music remained an important part of their lives.  Join us for the rebirth of Borderline Band! Greg Klyma   February 12

Greg Klyma is a Buffalo born troubadour who has been living on the road performing music full-time since August 1998. Traveling from the Rust Belt to FEMA villages with guitar and mandolin in hand, capturing the stories of the people he's met and seen for over a decade, Greg has honed his songwriting and storytelling while developing a show that lands somewhere between the worlds of Steve Earle and Steve Martin - it's literate, witty, visual, sometimes comical and forever building on tradition while seeking its own voice.

Greg's performance in New London is part of a two-week tour in Minnesota and Iowa in support of his 6th independently released solo album, KLYMALIVE in Buffalo. Preview the show

 Jonathon Byrd   March 12

A native North Carolinian, Jonathan Byrd grew up singing in the Southern Baptist church, where his father preached and his mother played piano. After four years in the Navy, he returned to home to play in rock bands. It was at an old-time fiddle festival in the mountains of Virginia where his writing began to change, assimilating the sounds of southern traditional music. One of those first songs was "Velma," a murder ballad based on the true story of Velma Barfield, the last woman executed in NC, and the murderer of Jonathan's own grandfather. The song so moved folk music legend Tom Paxton that he wrote: "What a treat to hear someone so deeply rooted in tradition, yet growing in his own beautiful way.”
Waterbug Records has released his three albums:
Wildflowers in 2001, The Waitress in 2003 and The Sea and the Sky in 2005, a collaboration with critically-acclaimed world music duo Dromedary.  He was named a Kerrville New Folk winner, the most prestigious award in the singer-songwriter world.  For a preview of Jonathon’s music

 3 Penny Acre   April 9

3 Penny Acre is a musical collaboration between four up-and-coming songwriters: Bernice Hembree, Brian Hembree, Shannon Wurst, and Bayard Bain.  Each member is accomplished in their own right, bringing to the band vast experience and successes from prior musical endeavors.  They won the 2008 Walnut Valley Festival (Winfield, Kansas) New Songs in two categories.  Their debut album, released in 2009,  has been met with acclaimed recognition including an official showcase at the 2009 Folk Alliance Conference, voted "Best New Band" by the Northwest Arkansas Music Awards, and selection as a 2009 New Folk Finalist.

Many will appreciate their fresh interpretation of mountain music/bluegrass/folk music and will quickly indentify with their "Arkansas sound".  Listen to a sample of their music.
